Shabbat at AI

Join the AI family for a full Shabbat experience every week.

Welcome and join the Agudath Israel community - In prayer, in study and in acts of kindness.

As Abraham and Sarah kept the walls of their tent open so travelers could easily enter, at Agudath Israel we open our 'tent' to all interested in Judaism and help people find a comfortable and challenging place inside.

We value the wisdom and inspiration of Jewish tradition, but recognize the need for ongoing change within the parameters of the Conservative movement. Our members come from diverse religious backgrounds. Our programs and services for adults and children are rich and varied. Men and women participate equally in all aspects of the synagogue.More about us

Please Consider a Gift to the Israel Crisis Fund

In the wake of unrelenting rocket attacks into Southern Israel, Operation Protective Edge was launched on July 7 with the goal of terminating the rocket assault raining down on Israel from Gaza, putting over four million citizens in danger. For citizens in the affected regions of the country, the situation is intolerable - children have nowhere to be with summer camps cancelled, businesses are closed and the emotional stress of constant bombardment is taking a tremendous toll. 40,000 Israelis have been mobilized for reserve duty, leaving behind jobs and families.
The Jewish Federation of Ottawa, along with all other North American Federations, received an urgent request for relief funds. Our Israeli partners have identified immediate needs of $10M, from which $1.5M is expected to come from Federations in Canada.

As the Agudath family, let's please show our strong support now for the ISRAEL CRISIS FUND, through the Jewish Federation of Ottawa. When completing the donation form,  include Agudath Israel Congregation as your Organization.
