Please join us as we welcome Rabbi Jennifer Gorman, Director of Mercaz Canada. She will speak on the topic of Conservative Religious Zionism and the support of Masorti Judaism in Israel. ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAM: "NAVIGATING THE SIDDUR"
Rav Barry will be facilitating a four session workshop designed to help our shul members gain a better understanding of our siddurim and thereby improve our davening skills. Susan Finkelman has lived in Orleans with her husband Neil since 1988 where they raised 4 daughters, Brittany, Alanna, Caylin, and Shauna. Susan and Neil, were founding members of Jewish Orleans where they organized community events, and started a Hebrew School so that Jewish children in Orleans would have a place to gather, learn, and make new friends. The Finkelman home is always open to anyone who is looking for a casual traditional Shabbat or holiday dinner; it is not uncommon to have 30 people sitting around the table.Susan just recently joined the Agudath Israel family 2 years ago, and is a brand new member of the Board. Susan was part of the Futures committee, Agudath Israel choir, AI Library, and is looking forward to being part of the Kiddush committee. Susan also volunteers on the Choices committee, and has helped with making calls for the annual JFO campaign.As well as volunteering, Susan works full time with the Department of National Defence at Health Services HQ doing software implementation, training, and support for all the military clinics across the country.
